Jimmy Katone is the drummer of ROXX UNION. Coming from the USA, he brings powerful grooves, precision and a distinctive hard rock feel to the band. His experience as a drummer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist adds a strong musical foundation to the ROXX UNION sound.

BIOGRAPHY

Jimmy Katone is an American drummer, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He began playing drums at the age of nine and developed his musical abilities through his early passion for rock music. His musical influences include artists such as David Bowie, Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, KISS and Edgar Winter.

Jimmy began his professional career as a drummer and vocalist, performing with bands throughout the East Coast of the United States. He became a founding member and drummer of the American rock band Hit The Ground Runnin’, building a strong reputation through live performances and recordings.

In the 1990s, Jimmy expanded his musical career beyond the drum kit and began developing his own material as a solo artist under the name KATONE. He writes, performs and produces his own music, playing drums, guitar, bass, keyboards and vocals. His solo work has resulted in numerous self-produced albums and combines hard rock with darker and more experimental influences.

Jimmy has also continued working as a drummer for other artists and bands. He is a member of the Canadian rock band MASON and has performed on the band’s albums, including “I Can’t Wait” and “Seconds To Impact”.

With ROXX UNION, Jimmy brings decades of experience, powerful drumming and a deep understanding of rock music to an international band connecting musicians from different countries and continents.

MUSICAL JOURNEY

Jimmy’s musical journey began in Philadelphia, where he started playing drums at the age of nine. He developed into a drummer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist and became a founding member of Hit The Ground Runnin’. Over the years, he expanded his work into songwriting, recording and production, eventually creating his own project, KATONE.

His career has continued through recordings and live performances with Hit The Ground Runnin’ and MASON, as well as his extensive solo work. Today, Jimmy combines his experience as a drummer, songwriter, vocalist and producer with his work in ROXX UNION.

KATONE

KATONE is Jimmy Katone’s personal music project, giving him the freedom to work as a songwriter, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer. His KATONE recordings reflect his broad musical influences and his passion for creating rock music independently.

MASON

Jimmy is also a member of the Canadian rock band MASON. As drummer, he contributes his powerful and precise playing to the band’s hard rock sound. His work with MASON is another part of his international musical career and reflects his continuing involvement in the rock scene.
